Information We Collect

PetCalc does not collect personal information. All pet calculations — including dog and cat age conversions, food portion estimates, aquarium volumes, and pregnancy timelines — run locally in your browser and are never transmitted to our servers. Your pet's data stays on your device. We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous usage data including pages visited, time on page, and general location region. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization enabled. GA4 collects aggregate, anonymized data about how visitors use the site — which calculators are most popular, session duration, and traffic patterns. This data helps us improve PetCalc and decide which new tools to build. You can opt out of analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Cookies

PetCalc does not set first-party cookies. We use cookies for Google Analytics (to track sessions and distinguish users) and Google AdSense (to deliver and measure advertisements). These are standard third-party cookies. You can opt out or block these cookies via your browser settings without affecting the core functionality of our pet calculators.

Advertising

We display ads via Google AdSense to help fund PetCalc as a free service. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your browsing history. See Google's Privacy Policy for full details on how Google handles this data. You can manage ad personalization at Google Ad Settings.

Third-Party Services

Our only third-party service integrations are Google Analytics and Google AdSense, both governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share user data with any other parties, and we do not use any other tracking or advertising services.

Your Data

All pet calculations run locally in your browser. No pet data you enter — your animal's age, weight, breed, or tank dimensions — is ever transmitted to our servers. We have no technical ability to access this information.

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

PetCalc is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Our tools require no registration or personal data. If a parent or guardian believes their child has submitted personal information via our contact form, please contact us to have it removed promptly.

Data Retention

Because PetCalc collects no personal data, there is nothing to retain. Anonymized analytics data is retained per Google's standard schedule. Contact form submissions are kept only as long as needed to respond to your message.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of PetCalc after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
